What We Offer

The experienced Solent Mind training team will be offering live online training to equip you with the knowledge, skills and tools to support young people you work with who may self-harm.

Training will be accompanied by a toolkit of resources to use in your work.

Who the training is for:

Self harm training sessions for Education Providers - secondary school age children and young people (11 years and over), 6th form and further education. And charities working directly with children and young people in this age range.

Self harm training session overview

This session aims to improve confidence and reduce fear around the topic of self-harm for those who work with children and young people. We’ll cover the basics of what self-harm is and what it isn’t, to enable understanding and awareness. We’ll also suggest strategies, resources and signposting to support those self-harming, and the people around them.

Each session runs for one hour and will be delivered remotely via zoom.
